Coming out day

I guess yesterday was national Coming Out Day.

I like girls.

There. Glad I had the courage to express that. Hopefully it will encourage someone else not to live their life in fear or something.

I felt sick yesterday and the first part of today. My stomach was not happy. It's better now, though. Havign three days off makes it very hard to want to go back to work.

I am not going to be able to keep my Sunday evenings off. Retail + holiday season = new guy = asst. manager whose job it is to be available = I don't get much say in these things. Hopefully I won't be stuck having to close every single Sunday night and can still stay involved in my Sunday RPG. It just depresses me. But I can't afford to jeopardize my job.

My wedding is like, three weeks away. It doesn't quite seem real. A lot of things seem very unreal right now. I guess that's what life being "in transition" really means. It's one thing to say you're in transition, another thing to really feel it.

The above expresses exactly the absolute worst part of having a job in management. You're in charge of everyone's schedule but your own. -.- Especially if you end up slow, and the only thing you can think is, "You know, I could be doing this this and this right now, but NO!"

And wow for wedding. There really is a lot going on in your life, and all of them look to be leading to good things!

My life is full of crazy right now. It's hard on the ol' stomach. Having this job has shown me just how important being a published writer is to me because while I'm grateful for the excellent money, I already know it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life. But it will get me out of debt and give us the money to get Mel back in school. Things are grinding into motion after standing still for so long and it's kind of hard to get used to.

Yeah, retail holiday shifts SUCK. The job I have now is the first time that I have had a regular weekly schedule in an office. I gotta say, as a creature of routine and planning, I like that. I just hope you will have some time off to hang out in two weeks.

What day would be good for you and Mel to hit the KC haunted houses with us? I'm thinking it has to be Thursday or Friday since they aren't open Tuesday or Wednesday night. I need to start getting plans together so I can see everyone and have a jolly good time in the Midwest!

p.s. What do you guys need/want/desire for a wedding present since I can't give you the honor of my presence on the actual day? :P
