Well it's done. The first draft of the novel's finished. I know that doesn't mean very much because now the real work begins, but I feel very satisfied, as I think I should. Actually, to be honest, I feel like I've just spent the last six years of my life giving birth to a twelve-headed hydra. Which, given the number of sub-plots my novel contains, might not be a bad analogy...
What a night. I've been up all night goofing off on the computer. It's nearly dawn, I'm tired as well (entering can't-think'straight mode) but I have no desire to go to bed.
Ever get the feeling that you're putting off life? Here I am, pretending that the biggest question in my life is what kind of a bass amp should I buy, when it should really be what kind of car should I get or when do I get my wisdom teeth out. But the novel, I can proudly say, is one part of my life I'm definately done putting off. I don't think I'll be taking too much time off of it, though. Not having it to work on tonight has made my fingers itch. I think I'll be revising by tomorrow. But proofreading and note-taking will give me something to do on those long nights at work where I no longer have the internet to waste time and corporate money on. Rawk!

Well I meant in addition to the misspelling and gramatic ugliness. I think my most embarrassing typo so far (and thank heaven I caught it,) was accidentally typing "where she stood" as "where she stooled."
