A&A and Meghan went to see "The Last Samurai" without me tonight. There are times I hate having to work at midnight. Otherwise, I could've gone :(

For those not in the midwest, it's a blizzard out here right now. Driving to work in a blizzard can be as amusing as it is nerve-wracking. It doesn't matter if you're driving around the block in a snowstorm or a hundred miles, you will always see at least one idiot in a huge pickup trick who thinks "AH'VE GOT FOR-WHEEL DRAV! AH CAN GO AS FAST AS AH WANT TO ON AICE!" Passed one such idiot who was attempting to make a u-turn at a rate of speed you wouldn't want to make a u-turn at in the best of conditions. He was just getting out to see how much damage the rouch collision with the curb had done to his truck when I drove past. Ironically, it was nearly on the exact same spot where I had a rather scary fishtailing coming to work in the snow last year.

I shouldn't laugh or make fun. Something bad could very well happen to me driving home in this in the morning. But when it looks like you'll be going to see "The Last Samurai" by yourself it is easy to derive comfort from the suffering of others.

OH MY GOD you are so right. I live in Minneapolis, and it should take me like half an hour to get to work (going 694 to I94 straight into downtown .. and thats giving a little time for traffic)

Today I left at 6:30 and I got here late. Even though the roads are plowed and sanded and salted.... people still think that they have to drive 5mph on the highway! And like you said, there is always some idiot in a Canyonero driving, shifting lanes, and NOT USING HIS SIGNAL.

God I hate people so very, very VERY much!

you know what, it makes me probably a bitter person, but i agree. something about watching some asshole wreck his 4 wheel drive vehicle when he was driving carelessly in bad weather that just makes you laugh like Jim Carey on Dumb and Dumber after spiking his friend's drink with Turbo Lax (que the wicket witch of the west theme music in the background as well). i mean, really they are hazards on the road. i parallel these people who cant drive cautiously in bad weather to being about as dangerous as drunk drivers. they can easily lose control of their vehicle when it was completely avoidable, just because they "felt it would be okay" to drive in such a manner despite all common sense.

i say, laugh at their pain. and i hope you get to go see the next movie with your friends. it sucks feeling left out when you know you otherwise wouldn't be.

Tad Ghostal is one of the greatest television hosts of our time, thank you very much. Anyone who disagrees will meet the same fate as Metallica. (Metallica were last seen being lured into the airlock by Zorak. They were overheard saying "dude, shouldn't we be like, putting on space suits or something?")

Yeah, my whole life has been cursed it seems, for me to be the responsible one working while my friends are out doing spontaneous stuff together. But, we're pulling a plan together to go see it next Thursday since they all want to see it again. Hopefully Meghan will want to go again too. Just have to wait and see.

Haven't you read that random stuff about NO trial accounts and NO entry codes? Or some weird change-ups like that.

Iunno. I'm just trying to make sure Nal's journal gets preserved. Nal's my friend (TahLee). They said something about preserving all the accounts of deceased members, which would be really cool, considering the last post was from the day before it happened.

OH well. I guess try in a couple of days and people can just log on for free. I have no idea. I tried to read the legal-ease but I don't speak that language.

Well, if it's any consolation I'm like a zillion years older than you, I don't think we were seperated at birth. Unless I'm like the Alessa to your Heather or something. That would explain all the weird "Silent Hill" moments I've experienced in real life... And my frequent quotings of Brak at inappropriate moments...

I was not aware of this. My apologies. What happened to your friend, if you don't mind me asking?

I have no idea what's going on with the lj stuff. I read it sometime yesterday when it was very dark. It could have possibly been this morning... or last night...or somewhere in between.

And I don't mind you asking. TahLee was probably the best friend I've ever had, honestly. We met at freshman orientation at our high school and just realized we were twin sisters that looked nothing alike and were born to completely different families. TahLee was going to go see a mutual friend to see Finding Nemo on May 31st of this year. On the way there, while driving down this two lane road (two lanes one way, two the other), a street sweeper doing 50 mysteriously managed to cross two lanes of traffic and smash into her suv. The first people to arrive on seen were friends of the family and another mutual friend. They say that she was already unconscious when they arrived and did not come to between then and the recorded time of death. Sounds like she never felt it, probably never even knew what happened.

It's just been an odd year this year.

Excellent. That should put you here by Thursday, enabling you to come with me and my friends who, in an act of compassion worthy of a samurai, have agreed to go see it a second time so I won't be alone.
