Halloween humbug

I have just not been able to get excited about Halloween this year. Maybe it's because it's weird and falls in the middle of the week, or maybe it's because for the first time in a long time I have the night free and as a result don't know quite what to do. Whatever the reason, I just haven't gotten very excited. Mel and I are staying in tonight and watching movies. Anyone who's in the area and wants to show up is more than welcome to.

Is anybody out there going to a titty-baring equinox bonfire orgy dance-type thing? Everybody talks about these things but nobody ever delivers. If you're not going to one, then make up a tale of one anyway and post it. It's the holiday of make-believe after all and I demand to be entertained. I'll accept made-up stories about handing out Jack Chick tracts to trick-or-treaters as well. I had neighbors as a child who did that.

So happy day before November 1st. Spend it well, if not too wisely.

Well, it's probably of little use to you being as I live in a different timezone and reigon of the country, but you know I'm always down for the titty-baring equinox bonfire orgy dance-type thing. Oh yes. Anytime anywhere. :P

I am not in a halloween mood either. My kids were so horribly obnoxious today, and I worry they will be the same tomorrow, hyped up on candy. I would prefer that halloween was one of those traveling holidays that was every last saturday of october or something. I need a nap.

Well, my day began at 8:30am with my Druid friend wishing me blessings of Samhain. So to celebrate Samhain I've been in a thoughtful mood. ITs ssuppose to be the time to leave things behind and look to the future as its the New Year celebration for Pagans. So I've been letting go of unhelpful thoughts, ideas and hurts from the past.

And all while sculpting too! (see my LJ)

I think I've been grown up since I started using Friday nights to do laundry :P Fortunately I'm generally irresponsible the rest of the week.
