Holiday weekends screw everything up
Sep. 3rd, 2007 01:12 pmIt is very nice being back at a job I enjoy. But even this job has its issues, mainly right now in the form of the transition from night shifts to day shifts I am still on nights because:
1)Security director wants to be there to train me.
2)Security director will be gone during the middle of the week
3)Monday is a holiday so he's gone then too.
4)Therefore it's not possible for him to be there to give me the several days' training I will need.
Ergo I am still on nights until I don't know when. Presumably I'll be able to talk to the SD tomorrow morning. Tonight I also get to start training the guy who will be replacing me on nights. Training for each position is 40 hrs, so yeah it looks like I'll be on nights for the rest of this week. Unless I hear different which I well may.

Date: 2007-09-03 07:11 pm (UTC)As to your request for details I'll answer here.
Ed and I have sorted our relationship out. He's over his cowardly freak out and is intently and passionately pursuing things with me. And also without the nagging indecision of before:3
He's the only personal drama I've had lately...everything else is A-ok :3
The only worry I have coming up is my own employment as my contract is over in 3 months. I may be looking to Ed's company though because he makes more then I do and after a certain amount of time with the company can work pretty much from a laptop anywhere in the world and we both really like the idea of travelling lots :3

Date: 2007-09-05 02:36 am (UTC)As per Ed...I beleive he does and wants to keep me. Which is good because aside from his faults he really is a good man and he treats me well....and makes me smile and laugh a good deal of the time.
As per work....yes it is. I just hope things sync up well enough but then I've always had this weird luck with work. Doesn't mean I don't try to find a job but something always comes to me eventually...when I really need it :3
