I have often referred here to my fellow assistant manager as a sociopath for the way in which he handles the scheduling. Today he has officially earned the nickname of Sociopath.

Do you remember Biohazard, the handicapped employee with the body function control issues? Well, my thoughts for him aside he is still a human being. His grandfather died today. The family knew it could happen any day and Biohazard had warned me last night that he might have to leave work if his condition worsened. So when helapsed into a coma this morning Biohazard had to leave. Sociopath arrived a few minutes later and I informed him of the situation. He basically couldn't understand why someone would leave to go be with their dying grandfather. "A parent I could understand, but a grandparent? I mean yeah, you might go visit them when their dying but you wouldn't go keep vigil!"

Am I the only one who finds this deeply troubling and offensive? All my grandparents are dead and losing each one was hard on me and everyone else in our family. My maternal grandmother was a particularly trying time emotionally and spiritually. It led to one of the most beautiful moments in my life, but that's another story. We live in a world now where it is not uncommon for children to be raised by grandparents. I pity one such individual the day they come to work at that place and have to go keep vigil!

I let Sociopath walk away with his statement unchallenged. It was one of those moments where I was too stunned to have anything to say.

Later Sociopath was making fun of the way Biohazard walks. Biohazard has spinobiffeda. Were it not for several surgeries Biohazard would not be able to walk. This time I was more prepared. I told him that there were plenty of legitimate reasons to make fun of Biohazard but the way he walks is not one of them. And that making fun of a handicapped person's disability is NOT okay. He dropped the subject. Then he began talking to me about how women always seem to want him and all the female stalkers he's had in his life. *eyeroll*

Ladies and gentlemen, if you've heard me say it once you've heard me say it a thousand times: I NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE.

On an unrelated note, I am going through a joyful process of rediscovering the band Motorhead. Oh to be fourteen again and screaming away to the "No Sleep Til Hammersmith" live album as though Lemmy Kilmister's sardonic lyrics and tortured singing contained all the answers in the world! Most of you have no idea what I'm talkin about but that's okay. When I tire of Lemmy's scratchy moan, I've been switching to "God Has A Plan For Us All" by Angtoria, which is the solo project of Cradle of Filth/Therion backing vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva. I was iffy on the album at first (Sarah's vocals are way overproduced,) but I've got to admit it's really grown on me.

Again, most of you will not know what I'm talking about, so carry on. Nothing to see here.

I have no value for human life, and when my grandfather was having brain surgery in KC, I went and sat with my family in the waiting room and was there by his side when he woke up.

There's having few emotional attachments to people, and then there's just being a jackhole. I'd hope that I'm in the former, and your workmate is the latter.

You see ladies and gentlemen? If donkeyjon has more compassion than someone you KNOW there's a problem!

I haven't even heard your radio show yet, but I can already tell it rocks \m/ \m/

And we may be old, but compared to Lemmy we are the eternal flower of youth! :D

Also, given how a) everyone constantly insinuates that he is gay and b) he constantly insinuates other people are gay, he is also a bigger self-hating closet homosexual than you. Probably also a bigger racist than you too.

I have the Best of Motorhead Double-CD. It pretty much kicks ass. All the good stuff with none of the lesser material (not eveything they wrote was gold).

Sometimes, Lemmy just makes sense. Kinda scary actually...

Yeah, that's the one I have. I owned a couple of tapes back in the day when tapes were the thing, including the aforementioned "Hammersmith." I pretty much wore it out playing it. I ordered the CD off Amazon along with a few others. I just had to have the live album again because Motorhead simply aren't made for the studio. Their studio songs are good, but it just sounds like three guys playing in a room. Live they sound like ten thousand nuclear wars! The production got much better on their 90's albums though, starting with "1916" and started to capture their massive sound.

I need to check out their more recent albums too.

I think it's unlikely that your coworker is actually a sociopath. He may just be a narcissistic person. With the bragging that he does, it seems more likely.

Um my grandparents practically raised me and I'm as close to them as I am to my parents. That guy clearly has no sense of family.

The sense I get from him is that family is that thing he has to put up with on his days off.

How was your wedding? Sorry my ego did not allow me to be there. Sincerely.

I guess I could have just read that off your info, huh? Sorry I missed that. Were you always in Macon or did you move there? I'll never forget the week I spent there. It was very interesting, and frightfully reminiscent of the next town over from my home town on a lot of levels.
