Being thirty's actually pretty nice so far

This weekend rocked muchly. We got around to celebrating my birthday properly Friday night.  arphaxaad, chade66, duendegrrl, kakita_shisumo, and pinkfaeriestars all descended upon our home and lavished me with gifts which I totally was not expecting. All my presents involved metal and death. My friends love me. YaY! I can now have a zombie apocalypse in my living room any time I want and I can relax while watching Wolf Creek, a heartwarming, sentimental film about one woman's courage as she overcomes cancer and raises a family on her own. PSYCH! It's so totally not about anything even remotely like that. Mwuhahahaha!

Saturday and Sunday we gamed and had great fun doing so. I got tired of playing serious samurai in the L5R RPG so my current character is a complete buffoon. It was just the change I needed.

Sunday we also got some wedding shopping done. Things are coming together gradually and I think they will work well. Now it's another week and there's more stuff to do. The chaos never ends, but this was definately a weekend to remember. Thanks everyone.

It was fun, sorry I had to bail early. Even so, I didn't get us off to Wichita on time. But the child had tons of fun and was pouty when I told her it was time to go.
