Am I the only one who thinks "Carol of the Bells" is a really damn creepy song? It sounds like horror movie music! And has been used as such at some point, if I'm not mistaken.

Speaking of horror movies, have you ever had a dream where you picked up and continued another dream you had days, weeks, or years ago? That happened to me tonight. This dream ended on a cliffhanger and tonight I picked it up right back where it left off. It even kept switching camera angles like a movie. Wish it had been a more pleasant subject, though. Disgusting zombie mutant things which turned you into one of they touched you. I got touched. I guess we'll see how that goes the next time I dream it.

I also keep having dreams about wrecking my car. I don't think they're prophetic since it's always in a wildly fictious, clearly imaginary landscape that changes each time I dream it. And I'm never hurt; the car's just wrecked up. I think it must be a fear of loss of control, because I'm always struggling to drive in the dream and the vehicle just won't obey me.

Why am I writing a post about dreams? I never read other people's posts when I do, so doing so is hypocritical. It is snowing like crazy outside and has been for hours. It's beautiful. I wish I had some people around to snowball fight with. That would be killer.

Had a lot of strange dreams last night as well, ugh!

I wished it snowed here as well. Even more I wished to be there with you for that snowball fight :)

Oh man is that song ever creepy. *smiles* Thought I was the only one that thought that way. I have dreams like that all the time, and usually its the dreams I don't care to repeat that tend to do that to me.

Carol of the Bells does nothing but make me laugh since Matt sang a version from The Brak show. If you havn't heard it is goes "Ding fries are done, ding fries are done" for the main part, and then after it does that a thousand times it goes "would you like an apple pie with that"...so now the song makes me laugh :)

I have had dreams that have continued, and they are always icky ones. Bleh.

YOU GOT SNOW????? I WANT SNOW!!!!! Well, not until I can get school off for it :) I would totally play in the snow with you :)

Just because a creepy thing is parodied doesn't make it any less creepy. Hey! Look over there! *hits w/ virtual snowball* HA! HA! *runs away* :)

I love "Carol of the Bells", but only because it's slightly rockish, slightly creepy. Perhaps Type O did right by working it into their creeping Christmas song. :)

That is a GREAT song, but I love Type O so I'll say that about anything of theirs.

"Goddamn ye, merry gentlemen..."

Someone covered that for a gothic Christmas cd called Dark Noel that I discovered last year while at Hot Topic (and, no, I wasn't shopping there. Bev dragged me in with her.)

And of course there's always the version performed by Mr Mackey.

"Ding dong, mmkay."

Just think of that =D

I've had recurring dreams before. Why is it always the bad dreams that keep playing over and over?

I have that CD! I love it! I bought it because the lead singer of Saviour Machine sings a duet of "O Holy Night" but... it turns out to be a gawd-awful rendition that's just painful to listen to. But the rest of the CD is just splendid. The Carol of the Bells take is probably my favorite. That and the theme from the Grinch ;)

it's got the creepy key to start with and it's so frantic. So yeah, a bit creepy.

I have decided that oncoming holidays makes the dreams weirder, especially ones in which you lack control. I dreamed that I was moving and had to stop at this freaky house-ish hotel/inn and I got the dog out of the car, but I fell asleep and left the cats in the car and somebody rolled the windows down and they got out. WTH?

what is this "snow" you speak of? It has been raining for days, and it's getting old.

You sure you don't want to trade dreams? I'll take your having to chase down kitty cats to my being pursued by gloppy, slimy, mutant zombies any day!

I once used manhiem steamrollers carol of the bell during a role playing session. They were escapeing hell at the time.
