I should whine about how I'm going to fail at L5R tournaments more often. I took second place at this one and won a set of daisho (katana, wakizashi, and tanto (dagger).) It would have been a sweeter victory had I won the first place prize because it was a $100 limited edition card set that I would've given to my father for Christmas. I already have my own set ordered, so I didn't need it. But it would've been nice to surprise him. I didn't go there expecting to win, but once I found out I was in the finals and had a shot, well, I got rather obsessed. I can still buy him one, but the saved money would've been nice.

I was and still am thrilled to win the swords though. Now I have a practice katana and a real katana. I guess God is trying to tell me I should take up kenjutsu. I know there's a place I can learn it from up here, but I I need to get a day job in order to pursue it. I can barely drag myself anywhere, getting out of bed at night, let alone to something requiring as much discipline as a martial arts practice. I want to make a change in my life. I just need to get out of the complacent rut that keeps me from acting. A samurai is not complacent!

Congrats, dude! You pulled out some amazing turnaround victories to get there, too. It was great play that got you the swords.

Ignore him. He's a psycho who's mad that my girlfriend kicked him out of her life.
