I'm still feeling not quite myself. I need to get the haunting story concluded before all the Halloween spirit is gone from me and the world, but it just doesn't seem important enough to me right now to warrant it. And I'm still waiting to find out what's going on with my friend. I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever know. But that would be nothing new. Funny, I should be very good at this by now, but every time it happens feels like the first time.
The Dracula reunion party last night was okay. Not the best party I've been to, not the worst. It was _a_ party, let's just put it that way. Learned a fun game called "Inquisitor" which I'm going to have to force everyone to play at all future cast parties. It involves making up trivia questions about the show you've just done and betting to see who's right and punishing the people who go bust while betting. Great fun. But other than that, the shindig was just kinda there. Honestly, the trip through da 'Hood to get there was the most exciting part. A bunch of Vampire RPG'ing lilly-white goth kids holed up in a house among bandana-wearing, 40-drinking, black people. Kind of a surreal experience. Not the best neighborhood to get lost in. Which I did. (FUN FACT: Homies begin yelling at you around the third time you drive past them.)
For once I can say I'm glad my weekend is over, not because I didn't have a good time, but because I've been depressed and I'd like this span of days to be forgotten. Meh, I make it sound much worse off than I actually feel. But I could do without it nonetheless. It could be the sudden inactivity that's dragging me down after all the months of Dracula prep work. Guess I need to find something to do to keep busy again. Sitting around playing the PS2 just isn't cutting it.

Date: 2004-11-08 05:45 am (UTC)p.s. speaking of how many times you have to drive by before people start to notice.. there was this white car that kept circling around and around on saturday. finally, he stopped right in front of my yard and this old man got out. He wandered over to my neighbor's house (the one that's being gutted from storm damage) and looking around over his shoulders the whole time, he took off with a small piece of black tubing. still looking guilty as sin, looking around everywhere as he quickly threw it in th back seat and took off. Brian and i thought that we should run out to my front yard, yelling and pointing just to see what he did since he obviously was concerned that someone might be upset at him stealing trash.

Date: 2004-11-08 11:17 am (UTC)...Yeah it doesn't get too much more surreal then that. ~Grin~ And you should do 'Fun Facts' more often, your interpretation of society and the events that occur around you are extremely insightful, honest, and hilarious. ^.^
