Oh yeah. It's summer time in the midwest.
Went to bed late today since I was out the entire morning getting my new cell phone set up and getting the liscense plate put on the front of my car so the punk cops can't harass me anymore. I only slept about six hours before waking up due to the fact that my bedroom felt like an oven inside of a suana wrapped around a volcano. And this was with the box fan set on high sitting two feet away from me and aimed directly at me. My parents have always disdained using an air conditioner until deemed "absolutely necessary." But after eight years on my own and running the AC whenever I damn well chose I'm not planning to stand for that. Just run the AC and eat the damn electric bill! Look at me. *munch munch* See? I'm eating the damn electric bill. Yum! And you know what? The house ISN'T a hundred and ten degrees while I'm doing it!
And since I know you're all pervs ;) feel free to make any jokes you want to about how "hot" my bedroom is. Whoever submits the best one wins a pearl necklace! HuzzaH!
*ahem* On a more serious note, I should know better than to listen to _anything_ Rodney says. Did some asking around about the merger. Turns out that the worst thing it's likely to mean is better health benefits, more vacation time, and paid days off for us. It's still only in the "talks" stages though. It may not even happen. Of course, I'm sure as soon as any news comes down about it, Rodney will let me know in his inimitable Chicken Little style :)
