Just found out tonight that my employer is merging with (read: being bought out by,) another company. And reading the literature from the other corp, it looks like we may have to apply for our jobs all over again. I don't know if this is fact or just Rodney's afflicted prognostication. (My co-worker Rodney is one of the most paranoid individuals I have ever met.) Anyway, it's all supposed to happen in the next three to six months. What this means for us I have no idea. At the very worst, it will simply mean the time has finally come for me to either find an actual job that requires working, or else finally get back into school for that same reason. Should be entertaining, but I can only wait and see.
