Greetings from Ice Station Zero
Jan. 26th, 2004 01:49 amNormally the temperature inside the building here at work feels just as cold at the outside. Tonight it's actually warm enough to be mildly uncomfortable. Wasn't expecting that. Anyway, not much went on this weekend other than a brief forray to Dean's party, which was fun. Mostly I just stayed in, played on the computer, played Fatal Frame on the PS2, and edited. I am a complete slacker, really. I tried to do some guitar work but for some reason every attempt to play the thing lately just feels empty and unsatisfying. Guess I'm just going through a creative dead spot in that area. Hopefully some time away from it will leaving me thirsting for it again. It's going to be a busy week with rehearsal Monday and Tuesday night, movie audition Wednesday night, possible overtime Thursday night and then the FUN, FUN, FUN, of getting my two upper wisdom teeth pulled on Friday morning. Believe me, if I had my druthers I would do this week the same way only in reverse order, dealing the the wisdom teeth first. Pain is a lot like the monster jumping out in a horror movie: the bad part isn't when it happens, it's waiting for it to happen. And to top it off, it'll mean not getting to chat with
nolens_volens again until this weekend at the very earliest. We stocked up for it with a good long chat tonight, though. I just hate having my evenings all planned out before the week even starts. (Unless it's with purely "for-fun" things.) Can you believe someone like this is thinking about going back to school? It's probably why I keep procrastinating about it.
