I have a new computer now! No more pilfering the bandwidth at work because my comp is so crappy. Not a bad deal from the local best buy, although I was turning a little green after forking over the extra money for the 2 year service plan but... more complex means more things that can go wrong so I guess it's good to have it, neh?
*shakes head* Yeah, I shouldn't have done it with getting a new car in the next few months and the ever-lurking student loans... but my parents urged me that I should do it and I need something like this if I'm ever going to get my music made. I can only do so much with the guitar and bass without being able to add rhythm tracks. Right now I'm happy, though. And having debts makes me mad at myself so I get them paid. I've yet to fall into what I consider real financial trouble like some people I know. I was just raised to be so spartan in all things (I get mad at myself for spending $3 on something like a comic book or magazine when HELLO it's THREE LOUSY DOLLARS) that it's hard to deprogram myself enough to accept the fact that I need something so I may as well purchase it. But purchase it I have. Go me!
