uberreinigerToday was a long and unproductive day. Spent most of the daylight hours dodging the plumber as he tried to clean up the mess that's flooding our basement. Did I mention the flooding seeped through the wall into my portion of the basement? So now I've got fans going trying (a little too late) to dry out the carpet and prevent mildew and mold. And for those of you who don't know, it is bad for guitar amplifiers to sit on a wet surface. Very bad. I would call our landlord crooked but that would imply intelligence. He's just too dumb to deal with it when something needs to be fixed.
It was also a good day to watch epic movies. I never get tired of Ben-Hur, no matter how many times I see it. Merlin was good too. There need to be more movies that feature both Sam Neill and Rutger Hauer. If they'd just thrown in Christopher Lambert and maybe Richard Grieco it would've been an all-almost-star cast. Or a really kick-ass season of The Surreal Life. Now Silverado on the other hand... hadn't seen that movie since I was a kid and it was every damn bit as boring as I remembered it being. You can't take an evil Jeff Goldblum seriously. It's just impossible. An evil Jeff Goldblum that you can believe in is even rarer than a heterosexual, Republican, Christian, pro-life woman with an LJ. (And if you know anything about LJ, then you know that's pretty damn rare.)
Inuyasha, while trying to rescue a girl from her father, just said "we're gonna have to take your daughter by force!" I somehow don't think they meant that quite the way it sounded...
I ate at Quiznos for the first time today. It was damn good. There was, as I stated above, a lodda meat in dat bitch. So good I would eat it raw, but, as the Spongemonkeys wisely pointed out, eating raw subs is barbaric.

Okay, work to do now. I promised some people I would write on Apocalypse Woman this weekend and I'd hate to keep their hot little fingers being able to squeeze and fondle the finished product :)
