And I'm back from my big L5R tournament outing. How did I fare? I thought you'd never ask!

I got beaten like a disobedient hooker. I got beaten like the Libertarian party in a presidential election. I got annihilated like a division of Republican Guard. I got crushed like an Iranian woman caught in the act of adultery. I could not have been cut to ribbons more thoroughly had I been a pinata at a master swordsman's birthday party.

It didn't help that two of my friends from here who went and who's decks I've been tearing limb from limb in playtest deliberately meta'd against me (layman's terms: deliberately put in cards that would stop my deck) and I wound up having to play against them.

The bright side? As a door prize I received a copy of Yotsu Dagarasu, the second most valuable card in the whole game. So I am happy. Also now have a neat little figurine of a Chinese funerary soldier smiling at me on my desk so I am double happy.

Right now I'm having wine and being scandalous with [livejournal.com profile] nolens_volens I don't have to go into work tonight. All is right with the world.

The Shakespeare Banquet was last night. That, however, is a post in itself. In fact, I think that is a very good idea.

~Comforting hug, unsheathes katana~ We will have our vengeance on those who dishonored you at the tournament and won’t be satisfied until we are splattered by gushing fountains of their unworthy blood spewing from their dismembered bodies.

...sorry I've been watching Kill Bill lately, it just comes out...~grin~

On the bright side, at least you got a nice card and an awesome figurine. ^.^; Plus what is this wondrous Shakespeare Banquet you speak of, good sir?

Not that bad. The only thing around here that gets beaten like it owes me money is... er, um... er... nevermind.

I heard that Jim won the sword! Awesome!

On a related note, if you pre-pay for the pre-release you'll get to be in the group that picks decks first. Plus, it's $18 instead of $20. You'll NEED to do this to get a Crab deck, unfortunately, because Crab are beating ass in the pre-release and everyone is gunning for those decks. So, can you let me know sometime this week if you and Leo want to do this?

I will call and do pay tomorrow at some point. Does it have to be a credit card or can I use my Visa debit card?

either will work. As long as it's a Visa, no problem.

hmm... the little "drunk" mood caught me off guard at first. but way to to with the wine. i really like wine a lot, but it makes me very talkative which can be a bad thing.
