1. So much to choose from:) I think i'll go with ghosts though since the metal thing is so obvious. Ghosts fascinate me because i'm curious as to what they are. i have my theories, but i'm constantly wanting to either prove my theory to be more or less correct so i can alter it as needed. supernatural stuff tickles my pickle.. if i had one that is.

2.I'm going to have to go with anime. i know there's a lot out there that is probably good, and i am in love with cartoons and animation. i've just been suject to sooooo much crappy shit that i've lost all interest in that wide eyed, shrill voiced, funky haired, flashy background stuff. i just cant sit through anime anymore. it just *bothers* me.

3.I'm surprised at the fact that you prefer redheads. this comes as a complete and total shock to me :D heh.. that means, i like your interests. they seem very nice and fitting for you.

4.L5R. I'm probably not alone in this.. but hey. i understand the draw of these sorta games.

5.I must ask.. why is Rennaisance or Rennaisance Festivals not on your list good man?

From: [identity profile] uberreiniger.livejournal.com
Well, it should be stated that I only like _good_ anime. So many people will just eat up anything that comes out of the genre and that's not what I like at all. The stuff that actually seems like a real dramatic movie only animated, now that's the stuff I like. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Rennaisance Festival to go to...

1. Pick something on my interests list that you also like and describe why. - History. My interest is mostly due to an awesome history teacher from my 10th grade year of high school.

2. Pick something on my interests list that you don't like and describe why (try not to personally attack me now!). - Eschatology. I studied so many different view points I just got burned out on it. I think my interest died after trying to tackle preterism(sp?).

3. Pick something that is on my interests list that surprises you. Why does this surprise you? - Tori Amos. She doesn't spit blood or rape corpses in her music.

4. Pick something that is on my interests list that you know next to nothing about (if you want me to give you details, let me know that, too). - L5R. Not next to nothing, absolutely nothing. I'm happy in my ignorance.

5. Pick something that you think should be on my interests list. Why do you think it should be there? - Nathaniel Hawthorne. Or Edgar Allen Poe. They seem to fit so many of your other interests. P.S. I don't remember - did the 'Hunger Artist' die?

From: [identity profile] uberreiniger.livejournal.com
Yes, the Hunger Artist did die, but he was a Franz Kafka creation, not a Hawthorne or Poe. Funny thing is I was just thinking about Hawthorne before I got online and read this. Weird... Perhaps God is trying to tell me something? Preterism at work, perhaps?

Either way, Tori Amos can rape my corpse any time she wants! :D \m/ \m/

I saw Kafka on your list so I thought I'd ask...

The Questions:
1. Pick something on my interests list that you also like and describe why.

psychological thrillers-I think they are really interesting. I love analyzing how it is that they get into your head, and what particular parts really affect me.

2. Pick something on my interests list that you don't like and describe why (try not to personally attack me now!).

death metal/thrash metal...not a huge metal fan. Like I said before, music really can affect my mood, and this type of music does nothing good for me.

3. Pick something that is on my interests list that surprises you. Why does this surprise you?

I dont know you well enough for anything to really surprise me.

4. Pick something that is on my interests list that you know next to nothing about (if you want me to give you details, let me know that, too).

black metal

5. Pick something that you think should be on my interests list. Why do you think it should be there?

You have psychological thrillers, but how about psychology in general? You seem like the type that could really be good at analyzing people.

It's like the other kinds of metal I listed only even darker and will do even worse things for your mood ;) I only listen to a handful of bands in this genre because the lyrical content is rarely to my taste, but the ones I do like I REALLY like.

Hmm. Good point. I mean I *did* come within a hair's breadth of majoring in psychology in college and sometimes now wish that I had.

P.S. Lovely picture! :)

1. Pick something on my interests list that you also like and describe why.

Mythology. I love, love, love mythology. I grew up reading mythology from all sorts of different cultures and cannot get enough of it. It probably stems from my love of studying religion since mythology comprises their sacred stories. I love to study the similarities of many of the symbols. It makes me think that Jung was definitely right about a lot of his theories.

I'm also going to have to point out a second. Pre-Raphaelites. I just loooooove this art movement. It's my favourite. John William Waterhouse, my favourite artist, is considered to be one of them, but it can be argued that he's not. Hee.

2. Pick something on my interests list that you don't like and describe why (try not to personally attack me now!).

Evanescence. Nothing against you at all. I can't stand this group because the singer has a great voice but is backed by completely talentless musicians. I also don't really appreciate how this is mainstream goth rock being pawned off as something more meaningful when it's not. And this group has painfully obvious signs of studio interference (e.g. the radio version of "Bring Me to Life" with the rapping guy). It sounds like someone in the studio said, "Hey, you guys are great, but you'd be even better if you sounded like Linkin Park!" Guh...

3. Pick something that is on my interests list that surprises you. Why does this surprise you?

I can't say I'm actually really *surprised* by any of your interests because few things surprise me these days.

4. Pick something that is on my interests list that you know next to nothing about (if you want me to give you details, let me know that, too).

.hack/sign - Whohuhwha? What is this?

5. Pick something that you think should be on my interests list. Why do you think it should be there?

I'm actually a little surprised that you haven't put the Renn. Faire into your league of interests.

1- VAST. They're so awesome and so underrated.

2- Christianity. It's really more the word association than the actual concept that makes me cringe, if that makes sense. I've just been far too burned by people who play this particular religion card in order to act in a manner that goes completely against the doctrines of their faith. e.g. "I'm a Christian man, and this is what the Bible says. You don't believe this, so you are wrong and a hateful person who should die and go to hell!" That sort of thing. (And why is it that the people who most loudly proclaim their Christianity are usually the ones who act the most decidedly un-Christ-like?)

3- Nazi Germany. It just doesn't seem to fit, and I've never heard you bring it up.

4- V:tes. Maybe I'm dumb, but I have no clue what that is.

5- Sexy Beam Shuku. : )
