It can be a shock when your life is busy again after weeks of having zero life to speak of. I'm booked solid the next three nights in a row. How did that happen? How did I get invited to go ICE SKATING of all things? (Should I do it? Do I really want to humiliate myself in front of Meghan that much?) I should be looking forward to the Lacuna Coil show tomorrow night but instead I'm just dreading how little sleep I'll get on account of having to get up for it. I am getting old. Maybe I'll finally get to pick up their "Comalies" cd though. They weren't selling anything when they opened for Type O Negative two months ago. Hopefully this time will be different.

Man. Ice skating. What am I thinking?

Ice skating is like a slightly-more-difficult type of roller-blading. With a much higher risk factor. There was a short period of time when I was ice-skating a lot.

Then I fell and split my chin open doing 4 stitches of damage (which, I believe is the d4-falling-on-ice-skates maximum). I haven't done it much since.

But seriously, it's a blast. Well worth giving it a shot if you've never done it. You will find the endorphin rush well worth it.

Ice skating is so much fun. I'm jealous that you have the opportunity to go - I haven't been able to go ice skating since I was a little kid (what feels like forever ago) when we were living in Ohio.

Ice Skating can be quite fun, I've been dying to go lately myself. It's like getting a winter set of wings, and you feel strangely grounded once you get off the ice. Have you ever been before? Either way I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

I've never been before. That's part of what motivated me to go. What if I look back at the end of my life someday and realize I'm about to die never having ice skated? Not an option, I say. Not an option at all. Anyway, just in case I hurt myself you might want to have a steak standing by ;)

The Coil was awesome. Even better than the last time I saw them. Unfortunately, the *&@^#& opening bands had no fucking clue when to get off the stage so I had to leave for work in the middle of Coil's set. AAARRGGHH!!!
