A Tennessee judge thinks lesbians should be allowed to serve so male soldiers can "convert" them. At the same time, he wants gay men banned because he believes all they think about is raping straight men.

Based on the link someone provided above he's already lost his job for the unrelated business of making inappropriate sexual remarks to a female defendant at her court hearing. Writing this nasty op-ed column might be all he has left going for him in his life.
