Come on, people, enough's enough. Update your journals already! It's a long shift I have to sit through here and I expect to be entertained. Give people a holiday and suddenly they think they're Axl Rose and can just no-show to their heart's content. Get off your couch/significant other, put down your pizza/barbecue/chinese take-out/crack pipe, and start feeding my voyeuristic LJ obsession!
j/k, y'all. But seriously, LJ has been very dead the past three days. Not that I've done any significant updating either. But I come with news. My parents and I viewed a house today and it's perfect! We called the people back saying we'd take it and all that's left to do now is for them to run a credit check and (hopefully) approve my parents. Really hoping that happens because this is the first house I've seen that I've just flat-out loved and could stand living in. Naturally, my mom's all freaked they'll deny their credit application, but I feel remarkably serene. It should all get decided one way or the other over next few days. Prayers would be great, or even just general "I hope they get it" thoughts from those of the in-denial, er, I mean atheist persuasion ;) In other news:
-R.I.P. Charles Bronson 1921 - 2003
Goodbye, Mr. Buchinsky. You will be missed. I tried to paste a picture of you in here for this eulogy, but I can't figure out how to do that and the way it says to in stupid LJ FAQ doesn't work. Charles Bronson's landmark film "Death Wish," released in 1974 with its tale of vigilante justice, struck a chord among an American public fed up with soaring crime rates. It also truly marked a farewell to the tense, racially-divisive years of the 60's by showing it was okay for a craggy old white guy to randomly blow away scores of badly-drawn, stereotyped hoodlums of varioius ethnic minorities once again. He killed a lot of white people too. But they had it coming. Watch the movie. You'll see. Once again, farewell Charles Bronson. If I am ever robbing a jewelry store, you can rest assured that if some employee or manager thinks he's you, I will smash his nose with the butt of my gun, for there can never be another American icon like Charles Bronson.
-Little sleep + tiring evening touring houses + pigging out at the best Chinese buffet I know of + power nap = nightmares about the movie "Frailty." Reason: unkown.

Date: 2003-09-02 07:58 am (UTC)Perhaps it's a bad sign, but I find that I can't put what I think on here right now for fear of my GF coming back and reading my livejournal later. Basically, if I post how I'm feeling, I know it will hurt her to read it. So I don't post. And I don't tell her about my journal. It's very....odd.
