What's the name of that humongous sandstone mound in Australia that's sacred to the aborigines? I had a really involved dream about it last night and I can't remember what it's called.
It's called Uluru, or Ayers Rock. I wondered why I knew that, then remembered it's the site of the Azaria Chamberlain disappearance, which is where all those (terrible?) "Dingoes ate my baby" jokes come from.
Uluru was actually the name I was looking for so thanks a lot. You weren't slow on the draw at all. In the dream I was there and there was an entire civilization living inside of it. The carvings were more Mezo-American than aboriginal, but there seemed to be people of all ethnicities living there. After I left I walked across the Outback, (it was a dream so it didn't take that long,) and wound up at some kind of huge outdoor Christian rally.
I guess it was my "We Are the World" dream. I've never even been to Australia.
I'm glad I could be useful. :) I looked up Ayers Rock on Wikipedia just to confirm that was what it was, and the article said that Uluru is what the native people of Australia call it. (Not that Wikipedia is never wrong, but I find it's a good starting point for general topics.)
