5 things meme

Here's the deal. If you want to, you can comment asking me to list 5 things I associate with you. Then you take those 5 things and expand upon them in your LJ.
Here's the ones
dungeonwriter picked for me:
Acting I didn't do sports or particularaly excel in academics as a kid so I was delighted when I started acting in high school and discovered I was finally good at something. I was convinced it was what I wanted to do with my life. Unfortunately, majoring in theatre in college was probably the worst thing I could have done as it left me limited career-wise and murdered my love of acting in the process.
Writing In my early 20's I was trying to impress a girl so I resumed writing a novel I'd begun in my early teens. I opened a Pandora's Box though and became completely infected with the need to write fiction. It completely took over the place in my heart where acting lived. Why portray one character when I can create and control thousands? Mwuh-haha!
Germany It's the country of my heritage and I've always felt inexplicably drawn to it.
rock music Not just any rock music of course, but heavy metal. Even then, my tastes are very particular and I might only like one in ten bands that I'm exposed to. A lot of my fellow fans will listen to a metal band simply because it's a metal band, but I'm too picky; bands have to really "wow" me. I also lean more toward the older metal styles I grew up with. I'm more likely to enjoy a band that sounds like Judas Priest than one that sounds like Slipknot.
films Even though I'm mostly retired from acting, I still love the idea of making films. If anybody out there needs cast or crew for your indie project, I'm available!
These are the ones given to me by
tempest_azure.
Heavy Metal Music Um, I think I covered this above, but I really, really, REALLY like metal music, to the exclusion of almost everything else.
Erotica I never planned to get into writing this genre but once again, I was trying to impress a girl (I know, I'm horrible, right? :D) But that's only part of it. I'd read a good share of erotica in my life and was frustrated that it seemed no one was writing exactly the kind of erotic stories that I wanted to read. So I decided to write my own. The fact that other people actually are interested in reading it and like it is just gravy.
Kansas City I don't get out and do things and see the sights of my adopted city as much as I should, but it's still a nice place to live and I like it here a lot.
Firefly I was one of the last people I know to become a Browncoat but I'm glad I did. I can't put into words what that series means to so many people, it just speaks to a very basic human need, I think. I used to be very sad that it didn't run longer than it did, but nowadays I wonder if it didn't run exactly as long as it needed to and said exactly what it needed to say.
Gothic Christian If it wasn't for Christianity would we even have goth? All those cathedrals, and crosses, and statues of weeping angels didn't just come out of nowhere.
