Oh no D&D didn't!
Sep. 18th, 2008 11:10 amI was playing Dungeons & Dragons Tiny Adventures on Facebook and just got this for an adventure result:
Sabtabiel approached an old man guarding a rickety bridge spanning a deep ravine. The old man refused to let Sabtabiel pass until she answered a riddle.
Sabtabiel made an Intelligence check with a difficulty of 15 . . . and rolled 17
Sabtabiel tricked the old man into answering his own riddle incorrectly -- which sent the old man flying into the gorge by the power of his own magic. Sabtabiel strolled easily across the bridge.
This is awesome. If Dungeons & Dragons are no longer above winking at the audience like this, then hopefully it will just be a matter of time before I get an adventure result like this:
Sabtabiel enters a crowded bar where patrons roll to see if they are getting drunk.
Sabtabiel made a Charisma check with a difficulty of 18. . . and rolled a 21
Sabtabiel finds chicks there -- and does them!
Oh what happy day...

Date: 2008-09-18 06:56 pm (UTC)Or what about a die roll to determine the skill levels of an african swallow transporting a coconut by gripping it by the husk and two swallows using a piece of string?
Then another throw to determine the distance managed by the laiden swallows? Further dis rolls may be necessary to establish the size, weight and type of coconut...

Date: 2008-09-19 09:22 am (UTC)Sabtabiel made a Wisdom check with a target difficulty of 18. . . and rolled a 3.
Sabtabiel decides to stay and face the peril. After all, there's only a hundred and fifty of them! Hours later Sabtabiel was thoroughly exhausted from giving them all good spankings. And after the spankings, the oral sex!
-4 Constitution for 6 adventures."
