[Error: unknown template qotd]There's no doubt, it's got to be Germany. I kind of speak the language, plus the fact that the country is infamous for strange porn is offset by the fact that they have good metal to listen to and really good beer. Plus three of my LJ friends are there.

Having recently been to Ecuador and the Galapagos...I pick there. The country is beautiful and the people are incredibly friendly. The Galapagos desperately needs tour guides so being a science geek, I would do that during the peak travel times. Otherwise I would settle in a little mountain lodge beneath the highest peak, Chimborazo and write! :D

Ah, I like that! You know, Kurt Vonnegut wrote a novel about the Galapagos. Unsurprisingly it was titled Galapagos.

*should be prepping for tonight's D&D game*
I've read quite a bit of Vonnegut but not that one. Whenever I see his name though, I confuse him with Bradbury until I think about it for a minute. Have you read Galapagos? If so, is it any good?

It's a memorable book. I didn't like it when I read it, but I read it when I was 14 and it was my first exposure to a novel with such an unconventional structure. It's worth reading and thinking about, I'll say that.

Have fun in D&D!

Thanks! It's not going to be fun if I don't get something ready though. :P

I will have to see if the library has Galapagos. A lot of people don't like his style but I never had too much trouble with it.

I always thought I wanted to move to German. Then I started working with Germans and they're always saying they like America better. Germany, according to them, is crowded and expensive.

Well we are like twenty times the geographical size of Germany. But if I'm forced to emmigrate I'll take a country where I can at ask where the bathroom is.

There's a small part in Belgium where they speak German ;) And Dutch is very much like German, you could learn the language while living there and then move to Flanders :D Yep, yep, got it all figured out!

Well with a migration plan like that all laid out and ready to go I guess I'd be a fool not to follow it! :)
