And we're back.

Well K-Day has come and gone (for those who don't know, K-Day is what we named the day we were to get our kittens,) and Zoe and Zephyr have made the house theirs. Luckily they're napping on the couch now so my feet are not in immediate danger. They are as hyper and rambunctious as kittens can be. Some of you have been asking for pictures, so here is the batch we took a few weeks ago when they were smaller:

duendegrrl also posted some pics she took of them when she was over this weekend. See her part of the web for more details.
These two are little hellions. I know they'll mellow out as they get older, but it's hard to believe the amount of energy they have now. They even gave us a nice little scare last night when we thought they had escaped the apartment somehow, but it turned out they were just curled up asleep inside the hollow back of my guitar amplifier, the one place we didn't think to look. Anyway, now we need to get them shots, spayed, neutered, etc. We want to get on Banfield Animal Hospital's plan which is basically health insurance for pets, but signing up for it will be $100 for each cat. So once again we are in the position of needing to come up with a couple of hundred dollars from out of nowhere. I finally put my BC Rich Beast on ebay and I'm hoping for the best.
I was supposed to have a phone interview for a job yesterday. After calling and leaving voice mails all day, the HR lady never called me back. Damn, damn, DAMN! I am going to start calling them again tomorrow. My stress sort of hit a high level yesterday and I have decided to take today off from all things stressful. Irresponsible? Yes, but I need it.
::EDIT:: Got a call from the HR lady just now. She was taking care of her sick child yesterday, thus missing all of my calls. I'm scheduled to come in for an interview this Thursday.
In other news,
adonijah74 just observed, quite correctly, that I look like James Spader in Stargate. And you all wondered why I keep him around ;)
Uh oh, Zoe's awake. I'd better get the squirt bottle ready in case she ventures near the computer cords.

Date: 2006-08-01 04:04 pm (UTC)FYI, though, my cat is 14 and he still goes nuts from time to time. Usually in the middle of the night. I think it might be because Siamese are batshit anyway, but yeah. Cats are just crazy. :)
