There's a local artist who was putting up advertising billboards in the downtown area with threatening messages that you'd have to look twice at before you realized they were in fact art and not a real public service announcement. Nice idea. Been done before, but there was one particularly nice one I liked...

PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT.

This is a good message. Human beings need to be protected from what we want. There must be a God, because if there wasn't there'd be nothing stopping us from having every filthy desire. We would be an extinct race on a dead planet.

But everyone would've died happy, wouldn't they?

Happy or not, dead is dead.

I'm kind of partial to the "Who's Your Daddy?" billboards in the downtown area. Unfortunately, when you think about the underlying reason those billboards even exist in that part of town, it's really kinda sad.

But to end on a funny note...I think they should change their number to 1-800-PULL-OUT
