uberreinigerIt seems like I'm down on my job a whole lot. Or at least it does to me. In light of that, I'd like to present the other side of the story.
Five Things That Are Really Cool About Being A Security Guard ('cause I couldn't quite think of ten)
1) Learn Spanish at Quik Trip! The fountain drink counter at the QT across the street from my job is set up to reflect our increasingly bi-lingual culture. Due to this, I now know how to say "large straws" in Spanish: Popotes Largos!
2) Learn That You Are Quallified For an IT Job I watch these guys on my shift and all they do at work is sleep and play video games. All I do at work is sleep and play video games. So why are they making $10 more an hour than I am? Because they have a piece of paper that says they learned how to do computer-related things in college when in reality, they probably did the same things in college as everybody else. That is, slept and played video games.
3)Catch a Powerful Executive Banging His Secretary In His Office Late At Night And Get Offered Thousands of Dollars Cash Not To Tell Anyone About It. Okay, so this hasn't happened yet. But I'm still hoping :)
4)Realize Just How Stupid People Are I wear a uniform shirt that looks like a cross between a bus driver and a bus boy and strangers still come up to me and ask me if I'm a cop.
5)It Beats Being Unemployed. 'nuff said.
