I'm sorry for butting in, but you got me curious: what's wrong about Christmas in schools? Hearch the stuff about teaching idiocies (can't give low marks because of dunce's brittle self-esteem, etc), but this one left me 100Į clueless.

It's been a growing controversy in this country for many years. There are those who believe that the 2nd ammendment of our nation's constitution, which essentially defines that the government cannot have any involvement in any religion, means that absolutely no government institution, (such as public schools,) should be allowed to display any sort of religious symbols at all. This has led to all sorts of craziness at local levels: Christmas being taboo to mention by children in schools, Christmas carols (even instrumental versions,) being removed from school music programs, etc. The real trouble is, there is a double standard. Christmas is forbidden to be displayed, but symbols of other religious holidays, such as Hanukkah, Solstice, etc. can be. It's nothing more than anti-Christian discrimination. Either all religious symbols should be allowed on display or none at all.
