uberreiniger: (south park me)

Tonight at A&A's we were RPG'ing Deadlands which is an RPG set in the wild west, only with zombies and demons and such. I'm playing a Blessed - essentially a holy man who does actual, working miracles - so at the beginning of a climactic fight I activate a miracle called Battle Hymn, which lets you channel divine inspiration and helps you and your friends fight better as long as you are singing. Now, my character fights with a katana and Amy's character is a kung-fu monk, so naturally I began singing the "LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!" song from the South Park "anime" episode. It was the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a very long time. A&A had no clue what I was refrencing. That made it even better.

I am not ready for the L5R tournament [livejournal.com profile] donkeyjon is running on Saturday. I think I'm going to get yarbles tolchocked and by the end of it will probably be ready to razraz my cards all over the place. Pity the dvochka who's going to have to hear me whine about it afterwards.

And if the preceding paragraph made any sense to you at all, help yourself to a glass of milk!

Suba-ra-shi chin chin mono
Kintama no kame are
Sore no oto saru bo bo
Iye! Ninja ga imasuuuuuuuu

Hey hey let's go kenka suru
Taisetsu no mono protect my balls!
Boku ga warui so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love! Let's fighting love!

Kono uta chotto baka
Wake ga wakaranai
Eigo ga mecha-kucha
Daijobu - we do it all the time!

Hey hey let's go kenka suru
Taisetsu no mono protect my balls!
Boku ga warui so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love! Let's fighting love!

Deadlands? The good one or the new d20?

The original version. Wouldn't touch the d20 version. I mean, I like d20, but any game that lets me roll d12's (a.k.a. the die type that gets no love,) in abundance I just couldn't stray away from.

I think it's one of the most brilliant RPG's ever thought up. Nice to meet a fellow fan.

I love it, but that is a game that had no business being converted to d20.

Nope. Not a bit of it. I wish they would've just let a great game die in peace rather than give it an ignoble wake in the d20 world.

I think I shall go listen to some Beethovan, it goes well with porn! ;)

No chocolate milk, but you can get it spiked with all sorts of drugs!

If you've ever read the book or seen the movie A Clockwork Orange, then you know that Beethoven does indeed go good with all things sexual!

Deadlands is likely the single best system for playing in the Wild West I could imagine. Any system that makes use of a standard poker deck for Role-playing has GOT to be something special.

I weep for the lack of players and the death of Doomtown.

There is no justice in this Christless world for Doomtown to die the death it did. It's enough to drive a man to drink... WHISKEY!

I believe I'll help myself to some milk right now. :D

I'm mostly just stunned you were successfully able to find those lyrics.

I'd thrill to see a translation.

Just do a search on "Let's Fighting Love." I found several websites that have lyrics w/ complete translation - and it is hilarious.

You continue to crack me up. I am not saying I am a good judge of good LJ's or even a single LJ entry - but your's cracks me up, dude. And, no, I am not offended that you offer nothing to those who don't understand that funny L5R-dorkiness paragraph. But I don't drink milk, so why am I babbling? :)

Nice subject.
