The Unexpected always happens
Oct. 30th, 2004 11:18 pmI think it may be time for me to start posting movie reviews again. I haven't been sparing the artillery this Halloween. Last night I watched the entire Omen trilogy on AMC, I plan on seeing The Grudge tomorrow, and today I treated myself to the gratuitous Cary Elwes-fest that is Saw. Would've been more fun if
pinkfaeriestars and
thanis_bloodsto had been able to join me like they'd originally planned, or if
yaqui would've had his phone connected so I could even reach him, but it was still a good time and one hell of a tension-filled flick. I'm full of stuff to say about it, hence, movie post forthcoming.
After the film, I had the amazing good fortune to run into the man who played Renfield in Dracula at Barnes and Noble. Turns out, he's planning to do some directing several months from now and wants me to do original music. Jackpot! We exchanged numbers and he'll probably join Dean, Lesley and I to go see my mom's play next weekend. An interesting coincidence, seeing as how I was walking out the door to B&N, but on a whim, turned around to go see if Adam had gotten a break from working the register. Had I not done that, I would've missed him. Interesting.
With the help of Dean and Lesley, I have my costume fully assembled for
massa_jean's Halloween party. As I've mentioned numerous times, I will be appearing as Walter Sullivan, the risen-from-the-grave serial killer from Silent Hill 4. Unfortunately, no one who will be at the party has any fucking clue who that is. So here's a picture. See it, see me, and compare. (If you won't be there, then wait for the photos, then see me and compare.

He's got to commit twenty-one murders in order for God to purge the world of darkness. He has been making slow progress since the eleventh murder, but that's only because the eleventh murder was his own. But having shaken off the worst effects of that, he seems to be ready to get back to work again.
But the best part of getting my costume together was finding an uber-sweet trench coat for eight bucks. Your average trench coat costing roughly a hundred and fifty times that, I was quite pleased. And thanks to Lesley, I got everything else I needed without having to spend another dime. Costumes are even better when they're free :)
The only way the day could've been better would've been if I had gotten a call from a certain someone.
Oh wait! I did! HuzzaH!
Now, back to tales of hauntings...
