I can do this the next time my friend L.needs a new roommate. To the best of my knowledge, no murders have taken place in their house, but she is a ghost magnet and regularly has non-coroporeal "houseguests." Given that she lives in Independence, MO I'm sure some of them have died violent deaths.
I encountered one. L. was actually relating the history of her hauntings to my wife and I was sitting in a chair listening. Maybe he was attracted by the conversation, but I saw a man walking back and forth on her porch and got physically ill. When I mentioned it to L. she said that yes she was aware of the man and that she thought he was a man who had died in a car accident a few blocks away several weeks ago.
For those of you who've played Silent Hill 4... You know how when the ghosts are near in the game Henry gets a headache and everything starts glowing red? That's what it's like.
