Holiday weekends screw everything up
Sep. 3rd, 2007 01:12 pmIt is very nice being back at a job I enjoy. But even this job has its issues, mainly right now in the form of the transition from night shifts to day shifts I am still on nights because:
1)Security director wants to be there to train me.
2)Security director will be gone during the middle of the week
3)Monday is a holiday so he's gone then too.
4)Therefore it's not possible for him to be there to give me the several days' training I will need.
Ergo I am still on nights until I don't know when. Presumably I'll be able to talk to the SD tomorrow morning. Tonight I also get to start training the guy who will be replacing me on nights. Training for each position is 40 hrs, so yeah it looks like I'll be on nights for the rest of this week. Unless I hear different which I well may.
