A swirl of information
Mar. 25th, 2007 10:45 pmAfter a long, hard week I had a nice relaxing weekend. Caught up on desperately-behind chores, got our taxes done, played lots of WoW, and even did some writing. Tomorrow I go back to work for a seven day stretch. I am not looking forward to this, but it's the only way they can give me the four days off for my trip to Mobile, AL without losing hours on the pay period.
We're getting money back on taxes, the recent medical bizness is more or less settled, and our trip is almost here. All this means I can start seriously looking for a new job again. I'm going to go ahead and set up the appointments that I need in the meantime (dental, eyeglasses, stomach,) but if I land a job offer in the process I'll say fuck all and take it. Having insurance and being able to do stuff is nice, but everything still holds true and I need to get out to a job that enables me to do the things that are really important.
We are also in the process of getting Mel's home business set up. Once she finishes her training we'll have an extra source of income and that will make things easier as well. If she likes it I'm thinking I might try to get involved in it as well. Obviously it's too early to say right now since she hasn't even started, but it's nice to see things starting to progress in our lives after all the little delays and setbacks we've seen in the last year.
I hope everyone else's weekend has been good. Back to work I go.
