Another one bites the dust

House-sitting for Dean and Lesley is officially over. Now I'm back to my wonderufl house and my own wonderful computer covered with other people's potato chip crumbs. It was generally a good time, but inevitably, whenever I'm away from home I'm always happy just to get back. Now to grab a shower and remove my ass so someone else can hand it to me at this afternoon's L5R tournament.

Okay, so I get my summer all nice and neatly figured out, content myself to the fact that I won't get to go to GenCon in August, (huge gaming convention in Indianapolis that I attended last year,) get my vacation time all nicely sorted out for my trip to Georgia. I've also accepted the fact that I've become a lousy L5R player who's lucky to even get one victory in a tournament. So what happens? Today I go to a L5R tournament, take first place, and win a free four-day pass to GenCon.

Well, now I guess I'll just have to see if by some miracle I can get someone to trade shifts with me for the two of the four days I'll be working and then figure out if I can get accomadations this close to time. If it doesn't work out, then I'll probably just give the pass to one of my friends. If it doesn, well then, I guess I'll just be on the road a lot this summer!
