Well, six blissful, pain-free weeks have come and gone and now I'm almost out of acid reflux medicine samples. So yesterday I went and got my perscription for Nexium filled. Did I mention my work health care plan doesn't cover perscriptions?

A word to all employees of the perscription drug industry who are reaping huge dividends from the suffering of others: I know that this is America and you are entitled to make a dollar any way you can. Capitalism is good, after all. I understand that a great deal of that 300% mark-up which you charge people for medicines they have no choice but to take goes toward meticulous testing and costs of production, or so you say, and you're _really_ not trying to add to the already-considerable misery of the people forced to rely on your products. That said, it is my sincere hope that the following happens to each and every single one of you:

Good kharma and happy kittens. )

Meanwhile, I think I'll see if those old people on one of the busses to Canada will be nice and save me a seat.
