I'm not *really* broke, just close enough to the wire that I want to make sure every check I currently have floating around has cleared before I withdraw more cash, but that's just technical details. The point is from, 9 a.m. Friday to 11:35 p.m. Sunday, I never left the house. It's been a while since I've been stir crazy, so much like people who haven't been drunk in a really long time before having a few too many, it hit me pretty hard. Even being here at work feels like a party and I feel beter physically and mentally than I have in days.
I only get sick about once every winter and when I get sick, I sleep. Today I slept a total of fourteen hours. This may also be why I feel better now than I have in quite a while. I feel I have slept most of the sickness out of me and I hope that this is true. In between sleeping, I played a lot of Devil May Cry, did a few pages of editing, and did set-up on my new guitar which Fed Ex delivered Saturday evening. (The locking tremolo was bent back pretty far due to having been sitting in an ice-cold truck, so it took some time to get it acclimated and the strings in tune. And that means nothing to any of you since none of you play guitar. Just trust me, it took some time.) And I'm thrilled with my purchase, I might add. Some day when I have more time I'll post a picture of the model.
So here's to the end of isolation and hopefully the end of illness as well. Rock on party people. Put your hands in the air.
