(sings) "It's the FI-NAL COUNT-DOWN!!!"
May. 29th, 2003 03:57 amIt's t-minus fifty hours and counting till we set off for the St. Louis Region 6 Kotei tournament. It'll be nice when it's over so I can finally relax! I can't sit still, I can't write, draw, or anything else that requires concentration. I can't remember having this much anticipation since my age was in the single digits and the impending event was Christmas. I think after this event I'll probably put away my L5R cards for a couple of weeks 'till it's time to start prepping for GenCon 'cause there's no way this level of excitement can be healthy.
For anyone who's curious, I talked to my mom today. We talked about dad's smoking and we're both pretty much of the same mind about everything. She's still furious at him and I'm no happier about it than I have been, but we're hopeful maybe this will be where he starts to turn things around. Smoking may not seem like a big deal to some, but then you've probably never seen someone who underwent a quadrupple bypass and spent thirty-one days in the hospital on account of it. That's the problem: he was unconscious the whole time. He's never seen it either. Anyway, here's to hoping it's a change. Here's to hoping I can JUST RELAX! :)
