Thanks to today's episode of Wigu (wigu.com) for the subject line.
So I'm sure you've all heard about this Mother Of All Bombs things the military is testing, right? Well this morning I'm watching Fox news when they decide to do their zillionth piece on this specimen of heavy weaponry, only this time they role the attractive test footage to the accompaniment of the song "Boom" by P.O.D.
Now I don't know the members of P.O.D. personally, but knowing what I do know of them, I can't imagine they would be happy about their song being used to champion a weapon that sends a mushroom cloud 10,000 feet into the air. Oh well, it's nothing new. Christianity and Military propaganda are two great tastes that taste great together! But still, talk about poor taste. Why don't we just roll a loop of Saddam Hussein footage while blaring Stryper's "To Hell With The Devil" while we're at it. Sheesh.

Well, I just got a lesson in humility. Just got off the phone with my mom and I guess my parents' financial situation is worse than I thought. They can't even afford to take the poor cat to the vet. My mom says it's just ordinary bills and such, but the plan for them to move up here at the end of April is pretty well shot.
I always feel so guilty when I learn about things like this. My mom isn't as forthcoming as she used to be about this stuff. Here I am, bouncing along, merrily buying myself toys while they're frantically trying to figure out how to move up here and be closer to their son. I probably shouldn't feel guilty, but I do. More than guilty, I feel ashamed.
I still have some of my tax refund money and I've offered to send my mom a hundred to get Nubbin (our kitty) to the vet. I just hope she agrees to take it. She gets very stubborn when I offer to give her money, but thinks nothing of handing out money to me without my asking. I probably shouldn't have offered and just sent it. That way she couldn't refuse, but that might cause problems of its own. I never can tell.
In other news, I'm supposed to be meeting on Monday with a lady about a possible theatrical job. While that's something I want, it's one with the potential to put all of my other plans on hold for at least a year. As anyone who's been reading is aware, I've had them on hold too long as it is. I guess you could say I need some prayer right now.
