At least I'm doing better than Axl Rose
Sep. 17th, 2004 01:59 amUnforeseeable electronics incompatibility issues between our gear and the studio's meant that we were unable to get anything recorded tonight. Fortunately,
poorheather is confident she can save the day and is already working her mad skillz in this regard. I owe her so much for all her hard work that it's not even funny. Tonight was a good learning experience, though, so I don't feel it was wasted at all. At this rate I may just drag my sluggish analog mind into the 21st century yet. It may not be happening at the reckless, breakneck pace of things like, oh, say, erosion, for example, but it is happening.
I woke up today still feeling ill, so I finally knelt before the porcelain god. Must have been a litre of nothing but bile. There's no way around it, the over the counter meds have reached the limit of their usefulness and it's time to fork out the cash for the good stuff. Another sucky thing about staying on this job a while longer is the lack of perscription drug benefits. Shortly before I came to work tonight my mom had a similar attack. We talked for a while and I've convinced her to look into stronger meds like what I have, because she shouldn't be getting sick as often as she does. At any rate, I feel much better. Hungry enough to eat a horse, so the saying goes. I think stressing this week over the recording issues compounded the acid problem.
And now it's the weekend, which means relaxing, more working on music, Ren Fest with
pinkfaeriestars and HOPEFULLY some time on the PS2 which I haven't gotten to touch in weeks now. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing since it's a time thief and all, but I can hear Silent Hill 4 beckoning to me in the night and I must be ready. Soon, my pets... Very soon...
And while we're at it, a big fat BOO! to Hurricane Ivan. You were very mean, but thank you for not harming a hair on the heads of the ones care about so very much and value so very dear.
