After ten years the federal ban on several different types of military assualt weapons has expired. I predict this will lead to an increase in violent crimes as citizens murder criminals who have been getting military assualt weapons illegally for the last ten years anyway.

Dont even get me started on this. My boyfriend has been following this ban as if it was his freedom to buy larger balls. There have been so many gun control conversations between him and I lately. He put a deposit on a gun weeks ago and took the day off work tomorrow to go pick it up. Luckily, his car is broken and the gun he purchased is a little to large to be hauling around on a vespa. If you're looking for a hot anti/pro gun debate to make your livejournal suddenly more popular give me a holla, he's been dying to try it on someone other then myself.

Eh... I don't see it making that much difference. There's no reason a private citizen needs a gun like that, but the ban was so watered down when it passed ten years ago that it's ending won't change much. (It was only limited to a few specific models of weapon and was easily circumvented by changing minor features on said weapons; limiting clip size to ten rounds - still enough to kill someone, etc.,) So I doubt it'll change anything much seeing as how most gun-related crimes are committed with handguns anyway.

It's WAY over kill with the word fuck....in fact there's a line in there refereing to the "diviersity" of that particular word~smirks~ Otherwise it's a lot of fun to watch in an Italian/Russian mafia kinda way with two .....gun happy irishmen!~L~
