Already hungry again.
Jul. 29th, 2004 01:11 amAfter getting my hopes up for Joe's Crab Shack, (this really tacky restaurant where the waitstaff periodically stop what they're doing and dance to whatever pumpin' dance tune is playing on the in-house stereo,) it turned out that after a few miscommunications,
megiloth's roomate Jon was cooking tonight after all. Jon is this funny man who cusses a lot and makes gourmet creations using this set of huge, rusty knives he carries in a leather bag that's at least a century old. But he makes a mean taco so it's all good. We were joined by
yaqui,
thanis_bloodsto, and
adonijah74 and there was much rejoicing, watching of South Park, and recitation of people's sexual history. HuzzaH!
Negative aspect of tonight's feast was that it meant not getting to work on music tonight. The music thing's got me pretty stressed just because I feel like it's a huge responsibility and I've never had that kind of responsibility placed on me before. I've got two songs completed and a third one two-thirds of the way there. Once that's finished I should have enough to justify getting together with my other musicians and fleshing them out. It would help if Dean would get copies of the actual script so I can mark sound cues. I have the script in computer document format, but I need actual page numbers to set the cues properly. Not to mention the fact that we haven't sat down to discuss music cues for the entire second half of the show yet. No pressure, no pressure...
I did get editing work done this morning though, so the day was not a total waste. Not that eating gourmet tacos and drinking ten dollar beer is a waste: it most certainly is not! I just place too much pressure on myself.

Date: 2004-07-28 11:31 pm (UTC)As for the music, how much should you compose and by when? I'm sure it'll work out, getting together with others might be a good idea to get their feedback. It often works inspirational :)
And again on a totally different matter (I'm making a habit out of this :P), if I finish the drabbled you asked of me, can I post it for everyone to read, or you want it for your eyes only?

Date: 2004-07-29 12:38 am (UTC)We've got two more months to get it ready. I just don't want to cut it any closer to the wire than we have to. I want plenty of time to get the songs recorded and the song cues set up and edited.
