As [livejournal.com profile] equusk would say, I am feeling emo. I've had something of an emotional fever for the past couple of weeks that finally broke today. It concerned all the old stuff with Lesley. I haven't mentioned it in here because it just didn't feel like it would be productive to do so. But that seems to be behind me now, at least until the next relapse.

I've been nervous and jittery all day today and I don't know why. It's like my body can't stop producing adrenalin. I'm all keyed up and I hate it. I have no idea how to relax. Maybe it's my living situation. I never used to get like this when I had my own apartment. Now it seems to happen every couple of weeks. I have no idea how to calm down.

One more day till Friday. I'd really like to get this Friday over with. Sunday is an L5R tournament, plus hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] donkeyjon and [livejournal.com profile] rustie25 Hopefully that will cure my endless jitters.

On the bright side, I think I've made the cast for School For Scandal, which is the latest play I've auditioned for. Melissa emailed telling me I was in, but I haven't been home to check my phone messages tonight so I have no idea what role I was offered. I guess that's part of my nervous anticipation, knowing I won't get to find out the details until morning. Bugger, I just want this night to end.

*hugs*

I so know the feeling, dude. The last couple of weeks have been so chock-full of emotional, mental, and physical stress for me that it's been like a Bar Mitzvah in my head. In 1940's Germany. Yeah.

And damn, a Happy Meal would sound good about now, if I weren't in the skeevalicious sweats.

This is going nowhere, so I'll stop bugging ya and just tell you that I feel your pain, and I hope that we both get better.

We should totally go out for Happy Meals some time. I'll even be willing to trade with you should I happen to get the toy you want and you don't :)

....Nah, too easy.

I'm so down for some McDonald's action. Not only because you're cool and all, but you're like, the ONLY other person I know who even knows about October Project.

Okay, correction.

Thom, my old keyboardist knew. But he was a DJ with literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of recorded music in his collection. And his knowledge was "Wow, that lead singer sounds like Annie Lennox."

*sigh* You've just got to make everything dirty, don't you? Next thing I know you'll be dying your hair and offering to be my backdoor redhead. Er... wait.

Have you heard Mary Fahl's (OP's former singer) solo album? It is beautiful I must say. But yes, let's hang out some time. What part of the city are you in? I'm up in Gladstone.

Dude...I work at Priscilla's. I think that's a part of the job requirement, and if it isn't, then it's definitely a symptom of employment.

...and offering to be my backdoor redhead. Er... wait.

All assumptions! I never offered anything! ; )

I'm up in Gladstone.

For real? I work there, and live about five miles away in the Camden complex. I thought you were all the way in Independence.

I used to live in Independence. I moved up here about six months ago to stay with my folks while I pay off a bunch of bills. So are you in the Priscilla's over at North Oak Trafficway then? That can't be more than a mile from my house.

I understand the emotional thing completely. I get that way occasionally. Although many times it manifests itself as the feeling that I am about to cry for absolutely no reason. I am on edge trying to control the tears...it sucks having the much emotion and nothing to do with it.

Congrats on the part whatever it is! Does this mean I get to plan a trip to KC? :) Post more details about the part when you know!

Time to plan! When would be the best time for me to be there to see it? School gets out June 4th, so it would either have to be the 5th or the next weekend :) I am so excited!

From: [identity profile] uberreiniger.livejournal.com
Well... if you could do it on the 5th that would probably work a little better, but we can make it work either way regardless. It's whichever is most convienient for you.

DON'T

BE

It's like the plague!

Run for your lives! Run for your lives! Don't breathe it in!

Or else you, too, will be doomed to suffer the emo!

can i ever relate to your first paragraph right now. lately, i've just had all these feelings that i can best sum up as unresolved issues from the past. My side of things that were never heard or cared about. Yesterday i was thinking about starting a run of posts about the shit that's been keeping me angry for years. After thinking in the car all day i realized that i am probably a pretty fucking angry person deep down and i think it greatly and totally affects my attitudes and feelings towards current people and events. I agree that i havent yet because i just dont see how it would help anything somtimes, other than letting me finally put in actual articulation what i always wanted to say or have heard (even if its a private entry.. its been expressed). Silent pain will eat away on you as i'm sure you know.

hang in there.. i know your living situation is stressful, but it wont be forever. time is flying by, so you're reaching the end of this sooner with every passing day..
