I'm not *really* broke, just close enough to the wire that I want to make sure every check I currently have floating around has cleared before I withdraw more cash, but that's just technical details. The point is from, 9 a.m. Friday to 11:35 p.m. Sunday, I never left the house. It's been a while since I've been stir crazy, so much like people who haven't been drunk in a really long time before having a few too many, it hit me pretty hard. Even being here at work feels like a party and I feel beter physically and mentally than I have in days.

I only get sick about once every winter and when I get sick, I sleep. Today I slept a total of fourteen hours. This may also be why I feel better now than I have in quite a while. I feel I have slept most of the sickness out of me and I hope that this is true. In between sleeping, I played a lot of Devil May Cry, did a few pages of editing, and did set-up on my new guitar which Fed Ex delivered Saturday evening. (The locking tremolo was bent back pretty far due to having been sitting in an ice-cold truck, so it took some time to get it acclimated and the strings in tune. And that means nothing to any of you since none of you play guitar. Just trust me, it took some time.) And I'm thrilled with my purchase, I might add. Some day when I have more time I'll post a picture of the model.

So here's to the end of isolation and hopefully the end of illness as well. Rock on party people. Put your hands in the air.

I play guitar, brotha, i feel your pain! I just got ahold of an old guitar that's been sitting in storage for like 25 years...the bridge is so whack you bend the wammy bar and it just stays there. Needs some serious WD40'ing. I'm gonna have to put new tuning pegs on it, too...but j00 gotta post a picture of your baby! did you name it yet?

It hasn't told me its name yet :) I keep having disasters whenever I try to post a pic in LJ but I'll hopefully get to it in the next few days. It's a transparent blue NJ series B.C. Rich Warlock, if that tells you anything. All my guitars are B.C. Rich, I'm pretty set in my ways like that :) So what brand is this antique you're trying to restore? I assume it's a fulcrum-style tremolo since I don't think Floyds were made 25 years ago. I keep hearing horror stories about how hard Floyds are to work with, but since my first guitar had a Floyd and it's what I learned on I don't see the hassles as hassles at all, just part of guitar life. This one has yet to give me any real trouble though. Once I got it past the set up it's held position remarkably well. At least I haven't had to take the back plate off and go at the springs again these past three days. I'm tuning down to B, though, so the reduced tension might be making it easier to work with. So yeah, me and Warlocks all the way :)

Actually, I'll just buy a bathtub full of cocaine and a bottle of green herbal healing sludge from your company. Mr. Call center guy, can you take my order?

ah the joys of a bank account. I'm poor right now too... i mean, there's technically money there, but it has already been assigned somewhere to serve the greater good. ah well. i just have to have enough to get me out to miami for the weekend and maybe afford a lil' bit o' the ole grub.

i'm still hoping that my lasagna lasts me for at least two more days.

One thing I've learned the hard way is that my parents' simply do not keep food in the house beyond the next meal whereas I tend to grocery shop twice a month and buy everything I need during those trips. Consequently, I eat on the go a lot and that's what depletes my pocket change. On this check I definately plan to stock up on provisions. No ifs ands or buts.
