Tired of all of those surveys made up by" high school kids" (or adults who use sub-standard English)? Here's a list of questions for the people who are a little older (or with a little more life experience)
1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Car payment. It's the biggest and prevents me from really making any headway on the others. Thank God it's almost over.
2. Do you miss being a child?
In many ways. Toys were awesome back then and coin-operated video games were like, the most amazing thing ever. But I'm also pretty happy with having gotten to be an adult in the time and places that I have.
3. Chore you hate the most?
Dishes aggravate me. So does cleaning out the car.
4. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
54th Street Grill. It's sort of become me andchassit19 's special dine out place now that Cafe Jaffa has closed.
5. If you could go back and change one thing what would it be?
It's deeply personal so I won't go into detail. There's just one situation on one particular day that I wish I'd handled entirely different than I did.
6. Name of your first grade teacher?
Mrs. MacIntyre. The other kids all thought she was mean but I really liked her.
7. What do you really want to be doing right now?
I'm relaxing on a day off and actually pretty content to keep on doing so.
8. What did you want to be when you grew up?
An astronaut. I've repeated how that worked out many times and my consequent satisfaction with the way things actually turned out.
9. How many colleges did you attend?
Two; a community college and then a state university.
10. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
I needed something that didn't look ridiculous with the black pants I have on and I hadn't worn this one in a while so it was time to give it a wearing.
11. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
I'm just grateful to have reliable transportation.
12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
"Oh COME ON. GIVE ME A BREAK!"
13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
It was of a scene from a story I'm working on.
14. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Right now?blue_succubus because she has an awesome life and I would love to be able to tag along on her adventures.
15. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?
Never. I have always been on the receiving end of crashes.
16. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer?
If I didn't have to work I would consider myself very, very fortunate and would certainly volunteer in some capacity to pay it forward.
17. Get up early or sleep in?
Getting up before eleven A.M. tends to confuse and anger me..
18. What is your favorite cartoon character?
These days? Peter Griffin, lol.
19. Favorite thing to do at night?
Fool around on the computer, read, write.
20. When did you first start feeling old?
When soreness and stiffness became a regular part of my life.
21. Favorite lunch meat?
Salami. It's good on it's own; doesn't need to be in a sandwich or anything.
22. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?
Since I work there, a bottle of Mountain Dew (Code Red if I can get it, regular otherwise,) I have one on my lunch break almost every day.
23. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
No, but I do believe that some of the ideas that have sprung up around it are - Keepingapocalypticbob 's answer word for word because I totally agree.
24. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?
I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT, IT'S HENTAI!
25. What's your favorite drink?
Alcoholic? - Arbor Mist wine. (I know, I know...)
Non-alcoholic? - Mountain Dew
26. Who from high school would you like to run in to?
I can't think of anyone in particular. Facebook has made this question pretty obsolete.
27. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?
NPR.
28. Sopranos or Desperate Housewives?
I watched the first season of Desperate Housewives and enjoyed it. Never got back on track with ti after that. I've never watched The Sopranos.
29. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?
I have in my past been in a couple of rebound relationships that were very unfair to the genuinely wonderful other party involved. Those experiences were perhaps necessary for me, but if I had it to do again I'd try to do better by them.
30. Do you like the person that sits directly across from you at work?
Hahahaha. You think I get to sit at work. How cute.
31. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purposes?
Thankfully no.
32. Last book you finished reading?
Boneshaker by Cherie Priest. Good book if you like zombies and steampunk.
33. Do you have a teddy bear?
Packed away somewhere I do.
34. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
Been in such a hurry that I've not been able to do it at home and thus have used the drinking fountain at work once or twice.
35. Do you go to church?
No but I really want to go back to St. Andrew's Episcopal church soon..
