Nah, circumcision is mostly done in the US. And maybe part of it is because more and more people from the US were seeing that most of the world doesn't do it, that it's only needed in rare cases or done for religious reasons otherwise in other countries. Originally, they started doing it here to prevent masturbation (doesn't work for that), then in WWII to prevent STI's (US still has the highest number of STI's out of any industrialized country, so, doesn't work, condoms do) and now more and more people are just coming to see it as pointless genital mutilation, a way for doctors to make an extra couple of bucks.
