9/11 anniversary post.
Sep. 10th, 2011 11:00 pmEvery year I think I've posted every event from my day from the moment I learned the Twin Towers had been destroyed. This time around I think I should let someone else tell their story.

This woman is a friend of mine; one whom I actually met through Livejournal. I've been telling my story for ten years but hers and those of others like her have not been told enough, and never can be. The tragedy and horror of that day and the weeks that followed should never overshadow the goodness that people like her brought with them to comfort the afflicted, the broken, and the afraid.
All of a sudden it really does feel like ten years has passed. It hasn't before. For me, 9/11 has always felt so recent, so present but as people have been talking more and more about this being the tenth anniversary I have come to realize that it finally does feel as long ago as it has truly been.
