30 Days of Music Meme - Day 27 & 28
Jun. 29th, 2010 12:56 pmI was so tired last night I completely forgot about the meme!
Day 27 is a song you wish you could play.
Everybody who's ever picked up a guitar can play the rhythm line at the end where you're just banging on the same chord for five minutes. But I have tried and failed many times to master all the various solos and noodly bits and I've just never gotten it.
For Day 28 it's a song that makes you feel guilty.
That's a weird one. How many songs make you feel guilty? This one does. For a long time some animal rights organization was running a commercial that showed various tortured, injured animals while this song played over it. And then Sarah herself would come on and urge you to donate to help them. It was HEARTBREAKING. They ran this all the time on Comedy Central during South Park of all things. Isn't that mean? You're innocently trying to get your dose of Eric Cartman's zany antics and they ambush you with suffering doggies and kitties and remind you that it's up to YOU to end their suffering. So now I can't see this song without thinking of hurt puppies. Thanks Sarah.
