Labor Day weekend and no overtime in sight. If the phone rings this weekend and it's work I'm not answering. Fuck them. I've been their pack mule long enough.
Not only do I have a slew of shiny new Metalocalypse icons, but I received a package of books today from a complete stranger! Someone on my friends list did a thing where you comment with things you're interested in, then you get assigned a random commentor to mail a package to with things they like. I really scored too. A couple of Robin Hobb books and the first two books in George R.R. Martin's "A Game of Thrones" series - which I've been aching to read for quite a while. It's my first introduction to these authors and it came at the low low price of absolutely free.
Or, as Nathan Explosion from Metalocalypse would say "Brutal..."
It's Friday, I got paid, got a rebate check from Verizon, and some birthday money from Lesley, so I'm off to treat myself. Ta-ta.
