...and the whirlwind sets me down again.
Aug. 9th, 2004 12:24 amAfter today's jam session with
poorheather I am finally starting to feel really good about the music for the show. My stress is gone. I think we are going to have a damn good soundtrack here. I can't wait!
Got an invite this evening from
megiloth and the boyz to cause havoc, but washed out, being unable to pull myself away from the South Park marathon on TV. I am sure I am going to catch no end of hell for this one. I grovel in repentence, guys! Don't let The Bob use the, er, pink thing on me, please!
I'm not really as hyper and manic as I sound. I'm actually a little melancholy. I think it's the realization that GenCon's two weeks away and I've got a lot of getting ready to do between now and then. I'm kind of just wanting to stop, withdraw and do nothing. But I will take my free GenCon ticket and enjoy myself whether I want to or not. Actually I know what's stressing me out about it: the cost of the hotel room. We're in walking distance of the convention center this year. In fact, I think we're even connected by a skywalk. But OMG, are we paying for it out the nose. Well, I am anyway. Between Georgia, my new glasses and this my Discover card balance is going from Callista Flockhart to Kirsti Alley-sized before my very eyes.
But you know what they say in Hollywood: it's only money.
