Good enough and smart enough
Jun. 18th, 2004 02:44 amJust had a wonderful phone call with
nolens_volens It turns out a lot people love me in this world and it's a good feeling. There's even a kitten who loves me, even if he did pee on a futon and two easy chairs today. (FUN FACT: Febreeze + cat piss = Febreeze-scented cat piss smell.) So as much as I love kitten, he's spending the night shut in the bathroom with the litter box so he'll remember what it's for. It's not punishment, just don't want any bad habits to start up again. (I accidentally shut him out of the room w/ his litter box today when I went to bed. OOPS!)
But yeah, people love me. It's a good feeling.
Today was my first eight hours of uninterrupted sleep in three weeks. (FUN FACT: When you can't stand up or sit down without getting dizzy, it's time to go to bed.) Jesu, did it feel good. I have boundless energy right now, the kind that only comes after being decently refreshed after too much time running on empty. Before I went to bed I had stop by my house to crush the aluminum cans my parents have let accumulate and to help my dad cut down and load up limbs fallen in the storms over the weekend. Would've been cool if I could've come around the corner with my shirt off and logs under my arms and there been a beautiful woman standing there who would've seen me in slow motion and had this total lumberjack fantasy, but oh well. Can't have everything. Knowing my luck it would've been the aging overweight Mexican lady across the street or the sweet little retired lady next door. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Looking forward to a weekend housesitting, ordering pizza and playing video games on their four-foot by four-foot television screen. Cat urine sold seperately. HuzzaH!
